You will find that I am a big fan of Perl and use it frequently.   However, I have a lot of experience working with PHP, I am certified in Java, and was formally trained to program using C and C++.  I also have a lot of design experience, creating Web 2.0 websites meeting W3C coding standards (JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, XHTML [standard and strict], etc.).
